US Surgeon General Praises Trump: ‘You Look Bada** in a Face Mask’

U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams recently shared his reaction to President Donald Trump deciding to wear a mask in public as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread across the United States.

During a roundtable discussion on Thursday, Adams recalled the advice of White House Coronavirus Task Force members Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx as he commended Trump for his decision to endorse mask-wearing.

“Mr. President, I want to thank you for emphasizing the three Ws. Number one, wash your hands. Number two, watch your distance. Number three, wear a mask,” Adams said.

He continued, “I was in Miami just a few weeks ago, and I promised that I would tell you this. I was in Trump country and they told me to deliver you a message, Mr. President. They told me to tell you, ‘You look bada** in a face mask.’”

As the crowd erupted in laughter, Adams added, “I promised them I would tell you that. Miami, I told the president he looks bada** in a face mask.”

Adams’ remarks and Trump’s support of mask-wearing comes months after the president’s adamant refusal to wear a face-covering in public.

Despite the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines that suggest face coverings to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, Trump refused to wear one.

However, the president’s stance shifted when cases began to surge across the United States reporting more than 77,000 cases in one day.

Over the last two months, several states across the U.S. have faced upticks in coronavirus cases, hospitalization rates, and infection rates.

Now, the United States has seen nearly 25,000 deaths over the last month. As of Friday morning, there are more than 4.6 million reported coronavirus cases in the United States.

  1. Phoenix: this shows to me that King Donald The Loser wearing a mask, at this point, is desperate to get re-elected.

Ted Cruz was caught not wearing a mask on a COMMERCIAL flight. They are all disingenuous morons.

  2. Not at all what I expect to hear from a Surgeon General of the United States. Maybe he wants to compliment Trump and thus put off the day when he gets fired. Or maybe he believes that silly flattery about how tough Trump looks in a mask is the best way to get him to wear one. When you work for the government in the time of Trump, you have to play games.

  3. This shows me Trump’s polling showed he was frustrating his supporters by refusing to wear a mask.
