Democratic Congressman Threatens Donald Trump Jr. for Coronavirus Claim

Rep. John Garamendi (D-Ca.) issued a verbal threat in response to Donald Trump Jr.’s accusations about Democrats’ stance on coronavirus during his appearance on MSNBC.

On Friday, Garamendi discussed the California resident who recently tested positive for coronavirus. During the segment, MSNBC’s Hallie Jackson asked Garamendi about Trump Jr.’s remarks.

As previously reported on IJR, Trump Jr. suggested that Democrats are hoping the potential pandemic pervades the United States and kills “millions of people.”

Trump, Jr. claims the Democrats would want this to happen to “end the president’s streak of winning.”

The president’s son added, “Anything that they can use to try to hurt Trump, they will. Anything he does in a positive sense, like you heard from the reporter that was just suspended from ABC, they will not give him credit for. The playbook is old at this point.”

In response to those remarks, Garamendi said, “He should not be near me when he says that,” adding, “There would be a serious altercation. Don Jr. better not get any place close to me. It would not be a healthy situation.”

Check out Garamendi’s response below:

Trump Jr. has yet to respond to Garamendi’s comments, as of publication.

  1. Garamendi — what a childish gangster response. Doubt he could actually pick his own nose, let alone pick a fight—-what a pathetic fool. However, it’s exactly what the country expects from Kali liberal moron D-RATs

  2. You are all wrong peenix. Bonnie Keever is exactly right in her statement of 200 people mostly drugies getting HIV. Of course you and confuction, being the good communists that you are, never let a chance to over state or misquote what people say because it does not fit your narrative. Like ALL good communists you lie at every opportunity. It is you and confuction who are incompetent and put people’s lives at risk with your lies.

  3. Nothing says “abuse of power” like a congress person threatening a private citizen. Doesn’t matter which party.

Remember when the flatulent Swalwell threatened to nuke American citizens? What IS it with CA Dimocrats?

Why isn’t anyone from the MSM or Left calling this out? Oh right. Gulags for everyone and we’ll take all your stuff.

  4. Of course from CA. Don Jr. is right. Do some research. A DS HHS person let people back in the country when Trump said no. Now the left in media dubbed this #TrumpVirus and #Pencedemic They have been praying and trying to figure out a way to hurt people and the economy and blame Trump. They are sick people.

    1. People are not blaming the virus on the president. They #trumpvirus and #pencedemic are reference to Mike Pence being put in charge of this when he did so terribly in handling health issues in Indiana. Specifically his part in a major HIV outbreak in Indiana while he was govenor, but not limited to that instance.

I haven’t seen those hashtags in any other reference, but maybe you have and i missed it?

      1. “I was the WH Ebola Response Coordinator in 2014-15,” says Tim Kain. And that was under Obama during the Ebola outbreak. What qualified Kain? Pence is not making medical decisions. He is coordinating from those who do.
But it didn’t stop mousy Kain from doing what Dems do. Setting things on fire before there’s ignition.

        1. Do you mean Ron Klain? How did he set things on fire? The virus was well contained in the US as far as I remember.

I understand Mike Pence wont be in a lab researching things. He will coordinate. It’s that exact same level of coordination at a state level that led to a huge outbreak of HIV in Indiana. So the frustration is that if he has already shown an inability to coordinate large scale health issues then why would he be selected for this?

Also, President Trump was VERY critical of Rob Klain being appointed because of his lack of medical experience. Honestly, i wouldnt mind Pence for a pick if he didn’t already have experience dropping the ball on a virus outbreak before. Managing a project doesn’t always require you to be an expert, but you need to understand how to help the experts execute plans.

      2. Excuse me he didn’t do horrible it was 200 people that came down with HIV that were drug user had many partners what was he supposed to do put these people in jail

        1. Excuse me, but Pence clearly showed incompetence.

“I don’t believe in needle exchanges as a way to combat drug abuse.” The issue was NOT drug abuse. The issue was a dsngerous infection outbreak.

In the rural area where the outbreak occurred, they averaged 5 new cases between 2004-13. Then the numbers skyrocketed. Because of Pence’s inability to accept the advice of medical experts (on more than one occassion), he foolishly let the outbreak get out of control. He resisted the needle exchange knowing that they are effective at slowing the spread of communicable infections.

          1. Oh excuse me. Do you really think anyone here thinks that you’re as smart as you think you are? You will be a miserable liberal for 5 more years as an arm chair quarterback.

        2. Sheesh Bonnie, maybe you should be the Coronavirus Czar?

It’s this type of short term thinking that gets people killed.
