Democrats Want $25 Billion for U.S. Postal Service: Hoyer

Democrats would like to see $25 billion for the U.S. Postal Service in the next major coronavirus legislation before the House of Representatives, Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said on Wednesday.

“I think there is consensus in the Democratic Party, that’s needed,” he said. Hoyer said the $25 billion was what Democrats believe the service needs to stay viable.

  1. Bad idea to prop up a grossly mismanaged USPS with MORE taxpayer money. Instead, investigate WHY the USPS is so mismanaged, bloated with overpaid employees (some incompetent) and steadily increasing prices for services and products. A $25 Billion shot in the arm will open the door for a $50 Billion bailout demand in a couple years with more increases in costs; but the same problems, same inept “management”.

  2. If THE COMPLETELY UNSTABLE MORON gets his way and the USPS quadruples its shipping rates because he thinks Amazon will go broke paying them thus satisfying his hard on for Bezos’ constantly humiliating him in his Washington Post the USPS will be the one going out of business.
Amazon will simply move all shipping to other carriers and accelerate the building of its own delivery fleet and ever expanding billions will be lost to the USPS forever.

Yup that trumpuke sure is one tough negotiator !
